Two new fact sheets from Oregon OSHA cover key requirements in the agency's oxygen-fuel gas welding and cutting rule (437-002-2253), which went into effect May 1 and applies to general industry and construction employers.
• Oxygen fuel-gas welding and cutting covers the use of oxygen and fuel-gas equipment, handling the equipment, leak detection, the drop test procedure, transporting cylinders, and employee training.
• Oxygen fuel-gas cylinder storage explains when the rule's storage requirements apply and guidelines for ensuring cylinders are stored securely.
