Deadline approaching for GOSH Award nominations

Time is running out to nominate a safety standout for the 2015 Oregon Governor's Occupational Safety and Health (GOSH) Conference Awards. Applications are due Oct. 1, 2014 and will honor employers and individuals for exemplary safety and health performance.

After winning an award in 2013, Bremik Construction in Portland found its employees were proud to work for a company that put their safety first.

"The GOSH award has motivated our employees by showing how their individual commitment to safety on the job can make a difference," said Bremik Vice President Mike Greenslade. "We've seen an increase in morale that has served as motivation for continuous improvement on all of our jobsites."

The awards will be presented March 11, 2015, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. GOSH is the largest safety training event of its kind in the Northwest. Nominees will compete with like-sized organizations in the following categories:
