Construction safety summit coming to Bend in January

Mid-Oregon Construction Safety Summit logo

The 14th annual Mid-Oregon Construction Safety Summit is set for Jan. 26-27 at the Riverhouse Hotel and Convention Center in Bend.

As in previous years, the summit offers opportunities for employers, employees, and safety professionals to learn about safe practices in construction. However, this year's summit will include a four-hour workshop on pesticide safety for agriculture employers and others who handle pesticides.

Continuing education credits are available as well as OSHA 10-hour certification for construction. Those who take the four-hour workshop on pesticide safety can apply their education credits toward a pesticide applicator license through the Department of Agriculture.

Eight pre-conference workshops are offered on Monday, Jan. 26. Keynote speaker Kina Repp opens the 7:30-9 a.m. general session on Tuesday, Jan. 27, followed by a variety of morning and afternoon workshops.
