Topic index

Overview

Oregon OSHA’s spray finishing rule, 437-002-0107 (Division 2, Subdivision H), covers “spray finishing materials” and the application of powders “by powder spray guns, electrostatic powder spray guns, fluidized beds, or electrostatic fluidized beds.” Any sprayed material that produces combustible deposits or residue is also covered.

The rule does not apply to outdoor spray finishing of buildings, tanks, and similar structures, or to small portable spraying devices that are not used repeatedly in the same location.
