Sandy Ridge Berry Farms

Sandy Ridge Berry Farms in Brooks held several Safety Break activities during the morning of May 8, 2024. They included warm-up exercises, a safety meeting, and recognition for employees who are safety promoters and who work in safety.

Ventura Foods

Ventura Foods held Safety Break for Oregon 2024 activities on May 8 in Portland, with more activities planned on May 10 in Salem. In Portland, activities included safety trivia and a barbecue lunch.

Oregon Department of Transportation

For 2023 Safety Break, the Oregon Department of Transportation District 7 Office partnered with REACH Air Medical Services to promote helicopter safety, including establishing a safe landing zone.

Comcast

Comcast Cable in Eugene conducted many activities as part of Safety Break in 2019. Those activities included recertifying its fire extinguishers.

Starbucks

During Safety Break in 2019, Starbucks employees and managers in Oregon focused on a variety of topics and activities, including stretches to prevent injuries.

LMC Construction

In 2018, LMC Construction celebrated the Safety Break event at various job sites. The company gathered employees for breakfast and gave gift cards to employees and subcontractors, among other activities.

Fiskars/Gerber Legendary Blades

Gerber Gear rolled out several activities during Safety Break for Oregon in 2017, including CPR training. The company ended last year’s event with stretch exercises on the production floor.

Ninkasi Brewing

During Safety Break in 2016, the packaging team at Ninkasi Brewing Company in Eugene demonstrated the right and wrong ways to pick up and carry a case of beer.
