Salem, OR — With more than 160 workshops and sessions, the Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health (GOSH) Conference will be held March 6-9, 2023, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.

The event is the largest workplace health and safety conference in the Pacific Northwest and one of the largest in the U.S. It welcomes everyone from safety committee members and emerging environmental health and safety professionals to quality control supervisors and employers across industries to gather for a variety of learning opportunities.

Registration is not yet open, but you can participate in, and support, the GOSH Conference now. Learn more by visiting the GOSH website and checking out opportunities to honor workplace health and safety leaders and teams, become a GOSH exhibitor, and to support the event through sponsorships.

The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA), a division of the Department of Consumer and Business Services, is partnering with the Columbia-Willamette Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals to present the conference.

Oregon OSHA encourages you to stay connected to GOSH Conference updates – including registration information – by signing up to receive emails.

In addition to numerous breakout sessions and workshops covering a broad range of timely topics, the GOSH Conference will feature keynote speaker Steven Eberlein, workplace resilience and engagement manager at Ethos Evacuation Strategies LLC. Eberlein has dedicated his career to education and advocacy in the realm of disaster preparedness, with a specific focus on workplaces and communities in the Cascadia subduction zone and San Andreas Fault system.

Meanwhile, the GOSH Conference will again feature the Columbia Forklift Challenge, inviting trained forklift drivers to compete in an obstacle course to highlight their skills – and the importance of forklift safety.

Save the date for Oregon GOSH 2023, see and be seen by registering to exhibit, and support the event through sponsorships. And there is still time to nominate an unsung hero of workplace safety or health by visiting the GOSH Awards nominations webpage. Award nominations are due Oct. 28, 2022.
