Heavy equipment

Overview

Heavy equipment is not necessarily heavy and you won’t find “heavy equipment” in Oregon OSHA’s rules. Nevertheless, the term has been in use for centuries to describe equipment that can move, dig, carry, or lift, or process heavy loads.
