Fall Protection for Roofing online course

This course is designed to ensure you have a solid foundation to build or manage your own fall protection program for roofing activities. Some of the topics we’ll cover are hazard identification, fall protection equipment and systems, safe access, and training. The information in this course is provided by industry leaders who share their insight on how to prevent falls. Upon completion of the course, you will have the option to receive a certificate of completion.

Module content

​​This module explains the basics of safely working at heights. It begins by discussing common fall hazards, safety policies, selecting equipment, and the differences of commercial vs. residential roofing activities

​​This module covers key elements to plan for fall protection at a project. The first step is hazard identification, followed by other considerations, such as public communication and swing fall.

​​This module demonstrates equipment and system options that are popular among roofers. This includes: horizontal lifelines, rope adjusters, parapet walls, warning lines, and safety monitor systems.

​​This module explains key concepts, such as first up - last down, setting anchors, safe access, transporting materials, rescue, and job completion.

 Start​ module​​​​​​​​​

​​This module wraps up the course with an emphasis on fall protection training, including equipment maintenance demonstrations. It also includes a quiz, a certificate of completion, and an optional survey for you to provide your input on the course. At the end of this module you will have the option to continue your fall protection training by selecting other courses in the suite.
