This course is designed to assist employers and employees in meeting the requirements of the Oregon OSHA Fall Protection Standards. You will learn about what fall protection is, fall protection options, equipment inspection and maintenance, and how to get started using fall protection.
Fall Protection Fundamentals overview
You will learn about the various types of portable ladders and safety-related work practices for their use. We will discuss why falls from ladders occur and preventative measures to consider, along with employer responsibility, including training requirements and supervision.
Ladder Safety overview
This course covers hazard identification, fall protection equipment and systems, safe access, and training. The information is provided by industry leaders who share their insight on how to prevent falls.
Fall Protection for Roofing overview
You will learn about common systems and equipment options such as fall restraint, fall arrest, positioning devices, scaffolding, and guardrails. We dig deeper into topics such as leading edge, sharp edge, framing, holes and openings, trusses, training, and selecting anchors.
