The courses in this suite are the most comprehensive set of online training for fall protection that Oregon OSHA has ever offered. These courses cover numerous aspects of working safely at heights, for both construction and general industry activities.

This course includes six modules and 30 videos, providing an excellent introduction to fall protection. It gives an overview of Oregon OSHA rules, features interviews with experts, and provides links to additional information. Moreover, the course defines what fall protection means; walks viewers through fall protection options; delves into equipment inspection and maintenance; and shows viewers how to begin using fall protection on the job.
Course overview
This course includes interviews with Oregon OSHA and industry experts who discuss a comprehensive set of ladder safety issues. Those issues include choosing the right type of ladder for the job; heeding the ladder manufacturer’s instructions; addressing the common hazards associated with using ladders; and following ladder safety rules.
This course is designed to ensure you have a solid foundation to build or manage your own fall protection program for roofing activities. Some of the topics covered are hazard identification, fall protection equipment and systems, safe access, and training. The information in this course is provided by industry leaders who share their insight on how to prevent falls.
This multimedia course is designed to assist you as an employer or employee working in construction activities to meet the requirements of Oregon OSHA fall protection standards. We cover common systems and equipment options such as: fall restraint, fall arrest, self-retracting lifelines (SRLs), positioning devices, scaffolding, and guardrails. We dig deeper into topics such as: leading edge, sharp edge, framing, holes and openings, trusses, training, and selecting anchors. Upon completing this course, you will have the option to receive a certificate of completion.
