About
The Employer Knowledge Advisory Group is comprised of stakeholders from various entities throughout Oregon. Members of the group include representatives from labor, construction, and general industry employers, as well as the contesting community.
The purpose of the meetings is to strengthen the partnership between Oregon OSHA and the regulated community. The mission is to develop either a rule or a policy, which will clarify what an employer could have known with an effort of reasonable diligence in respects to a serious violation alleged by Oregon OSHA. The group's goal is to provide input into the writing of the new rule or policy so that the final language will be understood without difficulty.

In the event Oregon OSHA determines rulemaking is needed, a rulemaking advisory group would be reconvened to discuss next steps and draft rule language for proposal.
