Meetings
Oregon OSHA is coordinating with the Washington State Division of Occupational Safety and Health (WA-DOSH) in this rulemaking. Both state programs are independently initiating rulemaking on lead, but Oregon is evaluating if the Washington proposal makes sense in Oregon.

Background
An advisory group evaluated Oregon OSHA's regulated substances listed in our
air contaminant rules and helped us to select the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) for Lead as one of the first to undertake. Lead was selected because of the broad exposure to workers in Oregon across a wide range of industries.
