Meeting for safety

Most businesses must have a safety committee or hold safety meetings. We have safety committee and safety meeting requirements for four different types of employers.

General industry and Construction industry employers

The best way to determine if you need a safety committee or can hold safety meetings is to read our Quick guide to safety committees and safety meetings. The guide covers all the requirements in 437-001-0765 (Safety Committees and Safety Meetings rule) for setting up safety committees and safety meetings.

Agricultural employers

Read our Quick guide to safety committees and safety meetings for agriculture, which covers the requirements in 437-004-0251 (Safety Committees and Safety Meetings rule).

Forest activities employers

Forest activities employers must hold monthly safety meetings with all of their employees. Follow the requirements in 437-007-0130 (Employee Involvement rule).
